Daddy's Home!!!

We met Cole at the airport and Savannah definitely knew her daddy and was happy to see him, but there were no immediate squeals of delight- exactly what you'd expect from an 11 month old. But once we got home, our little bug melted our hearts! I sat down next to Cole to feed her before putting her to bed and she would sit on my lap and then flop forward onto Cole's chest and lay her head on him for a few seconds. She would then sit up and lean back to me and then do the same thing over and over again repeatedly- probably a dozen or more times before I eventually had to block Cole so she'd eat. It was one of the most precious things we've seen her do. Babies are incredible, no question about it, but there is nothing like it when they show you that they love you! What a welcome home! Could we love her any more than we already do? It's hard to believe it's possible, but we truly do love her more every single day. We are so blessed and incredibly thankful to be Savannah's parents!

This child loves her daddy!

Our Handmade Dress From Abby!

My very-talented cousin Abby made Savannah this adorable striped cordaroy dress. It has taken me a while to take this photos and post them, but isn't it cute? I didn't get any great shots of her in it because she was VERY active! But here's a few to give you an idea. Thanks so much, Abs- we love it!!

Flowers From Daddy

We were so sad to be away from Cole for Valentine's Day (Savi's first). But we were so surprised to receive a beautiful bouquet of pink and yellow roses from him. Since they were went to both of us, I decided to let Savannah enjoy them too. She was so sweet slowly crawling over to them and gently touching the petals. Aren't they beautiful? Eventually she picked out one yellow rose to examine more closely. She loved pulling off the petals one at a time. I wish Cole could have seen her! She thoroughly enjoyed the flowers! Thanks, Daddy! We love you!!!

Fun in the Oven Drawer

Lyla is now walking! She's the funniest little thing! Itty Bitty, but tons of personality! She is the leader of the pack and knows she holds all the power. She discovered how to open the oven drawer and climb inside and then passed out the pots and pans to Pressley and Savannah. Neither of the other girls ever got in the drawer- that was her domain! She was a pro at getting in and out of that drawer and even fell out of it a few times but didn't let it slow her down for a second.Savannah was enthralled with the pots and pans. Who needs toys? It's always so much fun watching them discover something new... Thanks Lyla!

Wagon Ride With the Cousins

Cole was in Chicago for training for the last 3 weeks, so Savi and I headed to Greenville to keep us busy so the time would pass quickly. We had a great visit with my family and Savi loved hanging out with her cousins. We had a few days of spring-like weather and decided to take the girls on a walk in the twins' wagon. They were so cute swapping cups and enjoying the ride! And here's a close up of my gorgeous nieces for all of you who are still waiting on their latest blog post!

Squeaky Clean

I've been bad about posting lately, because we've had so much going on, so I've decided to post some of our photos over the last few weeks in a few mini-posts. Here is our "fresh from the tub" baby girl...
Notice how she's swinging the rope of her robe in the picture below. Is that body beach-ready or what?

For Meme and Granddaddy

I've been really bad about posting lately, and Savannah's grandparents will be away from a computer for a while, so this post is for you before you head to the beach! Sorry it took so long. Savannah is 10 1/2 months old and is crawling all over the place! She still doesn't stand without holding on to something, but can cruise around the furniture like a pro! She is also using her walking toy that her Meme and Granddaddy gave her for Christmas and is pushing it all around the house and improving every day. She still dances any time she hears a beat and claps when something exciting happens. She puts anything she can find up to her ear and pretends she's on the phone and says "hah? hah? hah?" The other day she even picked up my phone and somehow called her Aunt Joelle and I heard Savi say "hah?" and Joelle say "Savi?" on the other end. Very funny! Here are a couple recent pictures. The first two are of Savi in her outfit from Aunt Valerie- one of our favorites!

And here's Savi playing with the pots and pans. This was very entertaining for her!

Enjoying her Valentine's Day meal... meatballs, asparagus, oranges, avocado... and most ended up in her hair. And a couple other random photos...
