2 Month Check Up

We took our girl for her 2 month appointment and found out that she now weighs 12lbs. 12oz. She measured 23 3/4in. She's still in the 95th percentile. Her shots weren't too bad. She did much better than her daddy did. It was had to watch! She got so upset that she couldn't catch her breath, but she got over it quickly. When we got home she just wanted to be held, so I used it as an excuse to hold her and let her sleep in my arms all day. I loved that!

My New Blankie

I had to post about the beautiful blanket that my Aunt Donna made for Savannah. It is the only blanket made just for her (only completed one anyway!) It is crocheted out of really pretty rose and cream colored yarn. She has spent a lot of time playing on it already, but the best thing is that it's a blanket she won't outgrow! It's big enough for her to use for years. Thanks so much, Aunt Donna!

Our Little Fishy!

After the wedding was over, we headed back to the hotel so Savannah could go swimming for the first time. We put on her little swim suit and got in the heated, indoor pool. She really seemed to love it! She was so content and relaxed. The only time she cried was when we took her out. She was so cute!

Rick's Wedding

I was so nervous to bring Savannah to a wedding ceremony where she had to be quiet. Especially when we ended up sitting in the middle of a row with no easy exit! But she did great. She was wide awake through the whole thing, but stayed pretty quiet.
After the ceremony we had a nice break to change her out of her fancy dress before the reception.
She was passed from person to person during the reception and was very content visiting with everyone.
She got to meet her great grandparents on this trip too. It was so great seeing them with her! They were so sweet and loved holding her and looking at her. I wish we could see them more often!

Savannah Finally Meets Uncle Brent!

Savannah finally got to meet her Uncle Brent! He and his wife Katie drove down from Ohio to meet us in Virginia for our cousin Rick's wedding. It was so great seeing them with her. I wish we could all get together more often. We just wish Joelle, David, Pressley, and Lyla could have come as well. You guys were definitely missed. I'm sure we said it dozens of times!

Yeats is Here!

We were so excited to get the news that Valerie and Toby had their baby! His name is Brady Harmon Porth, IV but will be called "Yeats". He was born on Thursday, May 22nd. He is a big healthy baby boy weighing 9lb. 3oz.! He was 22 1/2in. long. We haven't gotten to meet him yet, but we'll get to meet our nephew (and Savannah's little cousin) in about 2 more weeks. We can't wait! I'm sure Addie is a very proud big sister! We'll post pictures after our visit.

Cousins Reunited!

Cole and I took Savannah on her first road trip this weekend. We went to Greenville to meet up with Joelle and her twins. We thought we may get a call from Valerie saying she was in labor and we could head to Columbia, but no luck. It was so much fun having all the girls together and to have some time to get to know our nieces.

Lyla and Pressley are now 11 weeks old and absolutely adorable! I am crazy about them! Savannah is definitely bigger than her cousins now even though they are 4 weeks younger than her. They are all getting more expressive and are such good babies. We spent a day in downtown Greenville pushing strollers and carrying babies in Baby Bjorns and the next day we stayed in and played with the girls and had a baby photo shoot. We took LOTS of pictures! What a great weekend! I can't wait until we're all together again. I wish we lived closer!!

First Night in her Own Room!

I can't believe how quickly she's growing! Savannah is now out of her cradle next to our bed and in her crib in her nursery. She has done so well with it! I think it's another step closer to getting her to sleep through the night. She's still waking up once or twice at night to eat, but I've heard that they go through a growth spurt around this time and need to eat more, so maybe we'll be cutting that back soon. She is such a sweet little sleeper, but we do miss having her right next to us. It was definitely harder for Cole and me to move her than it was for her.

It was a little sad for all of us! (She's actually frowning in her sleep here. Poor thing! She must have been having a sad dream or maybe just missing her mommy and daddy).

Family Bath Time!

Today we took our first "group bath". We wore bathing suits, so the pictures are safe to view! Savannah really seemed to love it! She was very relaxed and loved floating in the water. She was even smiling a good bit. We stayed in the water for almost 45 minutes and had to end it so Cole could get to work, but I think she would have stayed in for a lot longer! It was so much fun and such good family time. I can't wait til we can get in the pool with her- I think she'll really love it!

Baby Dedication

Mother's Day this year was extra special! Not only was it my first Mother's Day as a mother, but we had the privilege of dedicating our sweet baby to the Lord. God has blessed us with the most amazing gift. I am overwhelmed by His goodness! What an incredible responsibility we have to care for this little girl God has entrusted to us! She wore the same dress that my brother, sister, and I wore for our baptism. And before us, my mom's siblings all wore it for their christenings, and before them, my grandmother wore it for her baptism. She looked so sweet in the antique dress. It was a great day!

Playgroup

We got out of the house and made it to our first playgroup. Savannah had a pool party with six of her baby friends. Baylor, Avery, Kate, Brody, Eden, and Andrew were all there! It was so cute seeing all the babies together. God has blessed us both with such great friends! Savannah just sat in the shade and relaxed on my lap most of the time, but we both had a great day and hope to get together with this bunch on a regular basis!

Daddy Time!

Finally, Cole's crazy work schedule doesn't seem so crazy anymore. After Savannah gets fed in the mornings, it's "Daddy time"! She loves being with Cole and he can make her smile so big! Something I'm not so good at yet. They play for about an hour and then he takes her into her nursery and reads her Bible story book to her until nap time. Cole likes this time just as much as she does and sometimes I have to make him put her in her cradle instead of holding her for her whole nap time. They are so sweet together. I enjoy watching "Daddy time" just as much as they enjoy it. Cole is a great father!

Smiles!

Savannah has been smiling in her sleep since the day she was born, but it's been hard to tell if her smiles are in response to something or if it's just coincidental. Well, lately her smiles have definitely been real. Cole tickles her top lip and she smiles from ear to ear! It's so sweet! Her smiles never get old. Each one melts our hearts!

Funny Photo

I just had to share this picture. It's random- just a picture of her getting her pajamas on, but I thought I'd post it anyways cause I thought it was too funny not to share!
